How we apply fees and charges for Wills and powers of attorney

Book an appointment to make your Will with us or contact us on 1300 360 044 if you have any questions.

*Please note that we call ourselves Queensland Public Trustee to encompass our whole organisation and all of its work, but the formal legal name and entity is Public Trustee of Queensland under the Public Trustee Act 1978.

Our fees and charges for powers of attorney

Queensland Public Trustee prepares enduring powers of attorney and when called for, we can also prepare general power of attorney documents. Fees are charged by Queensland Public Trustee for the preparation of these documents and some other services we provide relating to powers of attorney.

An enduring power of attorney is an important document which allows you to appoint someone you trust as your attorney to make personal/health and/or financial decisions for you. Under an enduring power of attorney, the attorney is able to make decisions for you when you lose the capacity to make those decisions yourself. Our standard preparation fees for an enduring power of attorney are as follows:

  • $209.15 for an individual
  • $318.55 for a couple.

These fees cover the cost of preparation of the enduring power of attorney.

Note: Sometimes a person will appoint Queensland Public Trustee* as their financial attorney in an enduring power of attorney. When Queensland Public Trustee acts as a financial attorney, fees apply for financial administration based on your individual circumstances. For more information about our fees to act as a financial attorney, you can have a look at our fees and charges for financial administration.
