Email service is accepted at the time of receipt if during our Brisbane business hours (9.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday, excluding Brisbane public holidays). If the email is received outside business hours, service is deemed to have been made at 9am the next business day.

If you are communicating with a lawyer at the Office of the Official Solicitor on a particular customer matter, it is appropriate to communicate by using the lawyer’s email address, except for service. In such a case, it will be necessary to use [email protected], with copy to the particular lawyer at the Office of the Official Solicitor who has the conduct of the matter for the customer or for the corporation.

*Queensland Public Trustee is our registered business name, however the legal name of the Corporation under the Public Trustee Act 1978 is The Public Trustee of Queensland.  If the Queensland Public Trustee is sought to be appointed as financial administrator, manager, personal representative, agent, attorney, nominated person, trustee, litigation guardian or in any other legal capacity, or is being named in any legal context, the relevant documents (including court documents) must describe the Corporation as The Public Trustee of Queensland and must also refer to the capacity in which The Public Trustee of Queensland is sought to be appointed or named.
